The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Since 'texture' is what I am after,it was pure joy to create some using palette knife and brush strokes combined together in this small painting of my favorite subject, elephant.I would call this a semi abstract painting.
